this is what IPL has done for Indian cicket....and these fellas know if they dont perfom there are a few others waiting to take their place....competition stiff...same like what WI had in the glory days

I surprise how easy they are able to strick a balance between attack and defence, they do not allow test cricket to over whelm them, they impose their will upon the game,

Better cricket at the base, better facilities, better coaches in schools and communities.
When you sell out the entire region with neo-liberalism and structural adjustment, name the clubs, schools or territories that can pay world class salarie# to professional coaches.

We cyan keep nurses, doctors, teachers etc etc
Every man and woman will opt for better pay because CWI and CARICOM governments will not be paying yuh mortgage or fees fi yuh children’s education.

Name one community built recently anywhere in this region with a cricket or indeed a football playing field for our children. Di tourist industry getting di land to exclude all of us.

The IPL is the finishing school for these fellas.... they have highly qualified coaches....some are former international players....in a professional environment where players rub shoulders with many current national and international players.

under-19 is the breeding ground. Athaneze scored a lot in the U19 world cup. But he never translated that potential. Where as Shubman Gill did.
Lookat the stat. Athaneze made the most runs. Gill second most.

Look! The educational system in Guyana, for example, is not conducive for sports, children are forced to take extra lessions morning and after noon the teacher are exploiting the system, more than 30 percent of children are going to private schools they are not expose to any kind of sports ( I don't know about the rest of the Caribbean)

Dude educating your kids is the safest bet these days.

Just look at who is running CWI and how they are running it. Why would anyone encourage, let alone finance the future of their kid's under the leadership of these idiots?

Sports and education can go hand in hand, it does not have to be separate , look at all the big and powerful nations, forcing children to just bury their heads in books, be come couch potatoes, with no exposure to sports, is destructive to the children and the nation
