All this fuss about a wicketkeeper batsman who his ordinary with the gloves and averages under 25 in Test cricket. Trinis are a bunch of whiners! You would have sworn is the next coming of Lara!

So he scored some runs at Regionals which many refer to as Dungheap...Guess what he is not the only one and they were not picked!!!

at least we know he won't look like a tail ender when the bowler pitches it short

Josh was always our best player of pace and I was contented enough to give Imlach the gloves for the Pakistan tour however there was only one man to pick when Oz came back and we messed it up.

yeah they didn't pick either. instead they picked a batsman from barbados who fraid pace against the 2nd best pace attack in the world(i think SA is better). imagine being from barbados and not being able to play fast bowling. hope is a contradiction in terms

Come on bro. You don’t score 17 ODI centuries, most, if not all of which came as an opener, and not be able to play fast bowling.

Then again…..kraigg Brathwaite has 12 test centuries and he cyah bat.

Oh well…..cool

michael bevan was a great odi batsman. in fact his ascension to CA's hall of fame was based exclusively on his white ball exploits(avg of 53). his average in tests was 29 though and after 18 tests, Australia ended the experiment. shai averages close to 50 in odis..and 24 in tests....and its not spinners getting him out

ODI has 3 slips, gully, plus possibly 2 men out for the hook or forward short-leg and and leg-slip?
Vor's defend Sammy at any cost is shameless!
He's here justifying discarding a 25 avg keeper with the record 7 catches/innings for a part-time keeper with no.better batting stats and no recent red ball cricket...cause di king do it.

Given Shai Hope’s ODI record, he was the player that could fit the bill IN THEORY.

The problem is that if they genuinely believed that, then why when both openers were injured they asked a debutant in International cricket to open the batting????

That is the kind of question that our so-called journalists will never ask because they are not knowledgable enough or thoughtful enough to make those connections and deductions.

What was Hope, King and Chase standing on the team? This is the most bullshit I have ever come across when picking a team. These dumbasses need to go.
Both Da Silva and Imlach standings were stronger than Hope, Chase and King. There is no way they can defend their rational. It have no team until its picked. Even Jangoo had a stronger case than those 3 by their rational.

Are you referring to Hope by chance?
