Motie just drop the match!
The simplest of slip catches! Right in the man lap!
In reply to voiceofreason
the ball ain't even touch Motie hands. Terrible.
In reply to voiceofreason
Drop the match? You dreaming!
Even if he took that catch, odds were on Pakistan to still get those runs. Blades is wayward and inexperienced.
In reply to voiceofreason
What about the drop by Chase?
In reply to googley
That was half a chance come on! This was regulation stuff by Motie.
In reply to WIForever
A new batsman, you never know with Pakistan.
Cutarse booked every match till this bunch learn how to structure an innings and a real coach help them along the way. You know what they say about insanity....

How many REAL coaches have we had over the last 20 Years??? What were the results?????
In reply to voiceofreason
Man, we sucked earlier but we did sneak in the odd win. This is terrible
In reply to brians_da_best
Sammy has a winning record as white ball coach. 2 games to go we can still win this series.
In reply to voiceofreason
I doubt it but let’s see.
Have you given up on his red ball credentials?
In reply to voiceofreason
We are uncoachable in all fairness once we past 20 it seems. Name a single player from the West Indies that has improved over the last 20 years outside of Gayle, Sarwan, Shiv and Roach.
Burn it all to the ground and start over. Till we realise that we need get rid of mediocrity and set higher standards of coaching, youth development, education and fitness, we are doomed to fail forever.
In reply to voiceofreason
Then Sammy gets blamed
In reply to brians_da_best
He has only coached 3 test matches so no way to make a proper assessment, unless one is biased or darn right insular. Let us see if there is improvement in the batting come India or NZD.
In reply to Mustwin
Yes the usual suspects are out, still smarting from Andre's demotion.
In reply to voiceofreason
How are you able to defend this?
In reply to brians_da_best
Weather the storm. Good will come of it. Not at all concerned.
In reply to voiceofreason
Would the response been the ame had the coach been from another island?
In reply to voiceofreason

1. So your idol, the great leach is an UNREAL coach?
2. Does results matter only when the coach is anything but your idol?
In reply to JoeGrine
You really have time for VoiceofUnreason,
in any argument about Scammy?
In reply to TanteMerle
It sweet mi fi expose his lying, biased, scheming ways.
I'm only here for the comic relief he provides.
Here he highlight Motie and nary a word about the leach, the "unreal coach', the Deficient One.

Jason Holder.....the greatest all rounder after Sobers...to rank No.1 in ICC rankings..2022......
Give our youngsters like Athanaze,Jewei, McKenzie coaches like Dravid,Laxman, synonyms Sarwan,Hooper....then evaluate....
With Riefer, Griffith et al....
Just look at Bathels,Jofras,Salts.....
In reply to voiceofreason
11 out of 12 losses and you blaming Motie.
The entire set up sucks.
Who else did not take chances? Tonight match before. One before dat.
Stewwwwwps.
Any self respecting coach would already have resigned.
Motie drop was unfortunate but by that time the doors had been blown open and the hirses already bolted.wi should have gotten well over 300 but some stupid dismissals from the top 6 batsmen curbed that .it is bad when you have to keep relying on your lower yo get a resoectable score.
But Motie got us to 280 instead of 250!
In reply to WIForever
Jayden Seales
I’ll add another….Shamar Joseph
And another……Akeal Hosein
And another…..Keacy Carty in ODI’s

Beats me how we hold a coach entirely responsible for WI failures when we hastily assemble disparate players plying their trade in various cricket leagues.
Insularity is preventing us from seeing and thereby confronting the real issues plaguing WI cricket.
I am convinced that the bulk of the problems stems from without WI cricket structure.
It will take thinking outside the box and rejig to domestic competitions, player development & retention to turn this around while the board continues to lobby the ICC in the interest of cricket, greater fairness with disbursements, world tournaments and the various T20 leagues

This is among the lamest of excuses.
1 - This is the world of global sport. How long does a national team football coach have players for prior to international tournaments?
Often times it’s a matter of days IF THEY’RE LUCKY!
This is the reality in international team sport. Having players for extended periods to attend camp is a luxury afforded to very few. If you can’t manage in this reality, you shouldn’t be in the job.
2 - West Indies found themselves in this situation for the tour of Ireland and England earlier this year. We lost our first ODI to Ireland and immediately people started talk about “lack of preparation etc”.
Well we were in Ireland a full 3 weeks before the start of the first England ODI. We had all of our selected players in camp and available. We played 2 of 3 ODI’s against Ireland, won 1, lost 1, and 1 was abandoned due to weather.
We promptly proceeded to lose every match in the England series ODI’s and T20’s. A 6-0 black wash.
We can’t complain about lack of prep when we had all the prep we needed, and then some, in the Ireland series.
Stop the excuses. Or if you must make excuses, at least come with something original.

Agreed but they focus is on one Man alone.
BTW Motie had a great game with bat and ball and is usually a safe catcher until that blemish. However its these blemishes under pressure that is costing us games.

1. Did the "coach" not say he was intent on being the one to "assemble disparate players plying their trade in various cricket league" to the joy of many here? Now it is an excuse being touted by you and accepted by the loudest mouth in the penny section, Devoid of Reason?
2. How many teams have the luxury of their players not going all over the world to play in various cricket leagues? It is 21st century cricket.
3. Did you feel this supportive about Coley's stint? If yes, where did you voice said support?
4. The team that has been assembled was selected by the coach as well.
5. The selector/coach knows full well the ills of West Indies cricket administration when he took the job......deeze grapes are sour.
Agreed, but note that insularity comes in all stripes.
Regarding The OneWhoLacksReason and BlindSightedness replies should be one word- Shameless! Every other "failed Coach" got the team to be competitive from time to time. This one? Either from start of play or by halfway through the game you can already tell the result, a losss.
In reply to imusic
Imusic, don't they have 3 years of friendlies, FIFA qualies, Euro and SA cup games to mold the Teams. I agree that the current coach should be given the ODI qualifying as a target to be able to keep his job. I don't think he should be the Test coach though.
