Toss holy crap we won the toss - bowling

Narper 2025-08-10 13:04:49

West Indies have won the toss and have opted to field

Shai Hope:
We gonna bowl first, bit of moisture in the surface and there is a bit of rain around as well. I don't think we can be too specific, batting let us down little bit in the back end and we want to turn things around today. Negating spin threat in the middle overs is important. One change for us. Shepherd is resting and Greaves is in

Mohammad Rizwan:
We were looking to bat. Nawaz has been performing in the last 2 years and happy to seem him make progress in international cricke. Everyone is contributing well. We made three changes today.

Narper 2025-08-10 13:21:07

Pitch report:
Dimensions - 62 metres and 64 on the side. 74 metres down the ground. There was some rain earlier and it feels quite warm. There might be some movement for the seamers early on. Batters have to be patient on this surface. The best batting team will win" reckon Carlos Brathwaite and Stacy Ann King.

Rizwan premeditates the sweep and misses it completely. Hit him on the front pad in line with middle and off. According to technology, that was clipping the top of off peg.

Brandon King given out lbw. He has decided to challenge the onfield call straightaway. Did that pitch in line? Was there an inside edge? There was a spike on UltraEdge but it is off the bat clipping the front pad. Pitching outside leg. Not out...

bobby 2025-08-10 19:52:12

Again. Horrible lack of awareness by the stats man and coach. After the first rain break and the heavy overhead cloud, it was obvious that there was no way this would be a complete match and would be a DLS result,l. The decision should have been made to bowl your best bowlers to keep the run rate down, before restrictions came in.That obviously did not happen and there were 3 x 6s in the last 2 completed overs. No cricket brain. No strategy.

We can't maintain pressure when we are ahead.

Always a wicket to throw away the advantage

Now Sherfane throw it away too

Totally unnecessary

Narper 2025-08-10 22:23:48

PLAYER OF THE MATCH
Roston Chase

Roston Chase | Player of the Match:
Happy with the win, we had to level the series today. It was a bit difficult to start with the spinners, but I knew once I get in it will be easier. It was also easier to score against the pacers. I loved the shots over extra cover. When he (Greaves) came in, I told him there is time and once you get in, it will get easier to score. Let's take it from there. I just wanted to keep it tight and get a wicket for the captain.

Narper 2025-08-10 22:27:37

Muhammad Rizwan:
Muhammad Rizwan: It was a good effort, the pitch was difficult till the end. The way Rutherford attacked, he got all the momentum. We can feel like we are a bowler short, but Saim and Salman have been bowling regularly for us and bowling well. The forecast has been strange out here, we will check on the conditions tomorrow and decide on the team composition.

Narper 2025-08-10 22:29:32

Shai Hope:
We wanted to come back from the loss, we wanted to get better and happy with the win today. He's a class act, he's doing some great things on the ODi format, growing from strength to strength. It was a bit tough to bat on, it was a lot slower but great to see the guys in the middle overs come in and great to see the guys get over the line. Sherfane gave us that impetus and then Chase and Greaves sealed the win for us..
