I saw The Wailers at Ward Theatre like about '70-'71. Bob was so high dat him drop de mike. Then in around '76-'77 a bunch of us from college drove up to northern Mass to a show featuring Bob Marley & The Waiilers; must've had upward of 50K white folks in attendance, with only a sprinkling of us.
When "Natural Mystic" was performed, there was a Rastaman assigned to hitting the 'mystic' drum and what stayed with me was how he would dance around for the longest time until the when he was due to pick up his hooked drumstick and 'claat' the drum one big lick "dung", thereafter returning to his skanking antics until time for the next mystic "dung". LOL.
(Dr C, Won't mek it to Town, hear? Leffin' Thursday. And BTW, me buck up Wally at Sangster on arrival but no reach him since.)
