Powell is correct. This so-called emergency meeting is nothing but a steaming load of bull’s defecation

farcical.
West Indies are "not in the same level-playing field as other playing countries", and an emergency meeting of Cricket West Indies (CWI), which included Brian Lara, Clive Lloyd, Viv Richards, Desmond Haynes, Shivnarine Chanderpaul and current head coach Daren Sammy, among others, has ended with a roadmap of sorts in place for a revival, but "it's a long road, it's not going to happen tomorrow". One of the immediate decisions is, as Lloyd said, to ask the ICC for a "special dispensation" - extra money keeping in mind West Indies' glorious past.

west indies losing consistently as long as we went unbeaten. so clive talking rubbish as usual. ands sammy in that meeting made the entire exercise irrelevant..PR and buying for time

that is why he was invited, the intent of the meeting was cool criticism and not to find meaningful solutions.

He said it better than I was saying when addressing Point.
Here is the only region that has not produced one great international player, and whose cricket development structure is among the worst in the cricket world, yet the President, HC, only selector and the DOC are from the Windwards.

Powell is correct, the BCA has the same problems with people who have retired on the job still running the cricket.
Not only should Conde retire, but everyone who has been involved in cricket development for 20 years or more in the BCA should also go.
