ExonMobil has used very strong language,"could have the potential to have 11billion barells or more",oil companies are sometimes wrong but this is very bold and confident. From what I read there were bidding for some of the 24 blocks and Exon got 7.

Just ignore these PNM naysayers ....

Ask them how the PNM improved Beetham Gardens, Laventille, Sea Lots, and La Brea in the 5-plus decades of being in power.
They made them into 10-day grass cutters. The women hold a netting up so the weed whackers can cut grass and vehicles can avoid flying objects.

Rowley opened the new Tobago airport when it was unfinished 4 months ago. It still hasn't welcomed the first passenger.

I am not a supporter of either party; being a taxpayer in T&T, I become a critic when I see waste.

They don't refute facts; they just make comments and run...

I think some of these fellas should be crying instead of laughing.Do you remember when we had a massive oil find in the 70s,Eric Williams gave every Caribbean country millions, none paid back and by the 80 Trinidad's Treasury was empty.Ministers stole millions and flew off to safer climes, anyway PNM was in charge ah de oil.lol

The interest in the bids were actually put in since November 2024 and it appears that Exxon would have been the preferred choice because of its proximity to Starbroek. On another note, I'm glad the PM has continued to emphasize the importance of the hydrocarbon sector to Trinidad's economic prospects. trinidad can only make the money we are accustomed to if we diversify within the energy and manufacturing sectors.

I wasn't too sure because it's difficult to read so much and then rewrite, sometimes your facts get a bit mixed up.Whatever happens there seems to be lots of oil down there,ExonMobil is planning to spend $38billion to extract that oil and gas surely they know a thing or two.

After an election in a democracy, no matter who won the election, some folks only wish is to see good things happen for the country. A democracy depends on an air of stability to function well, and tolerance is a cornerstone in creating that atmosphere. While some folks get excited over 100 days, there are some of us who never judge a government after 100 days. There are some of us who never judge by a manifesto, but by the overall performance of an administration after a reasonable period of time. And, even as reasonableness could be subjective, some of us are experienced and qualified to judge that after a reasonable period. Things like blaming a past administration for everything as a distraction technique does not move some of us, because we are oo old in that. We expect that to happen, but it can't go on forever. If an oil exploration deal is signed with Exxon, and the administration wants to claim that as theirs, that is fine, and it is politics. But, if one has been following everything, they would know that all the major work were inherited. People cut and paste about Jack Warner's warning to Farris Awari as if that is the whole story. Again, there was no breach in Warner's extradition procedures, but this administration owes him a favour. If they create confusion to try to make the former party look bad in order to create an excuse to save their friend, that is fine. I, personally, don't want any such extradition to occur, but i also know there was no breach of the proceedings.

I wish that oil is found in huge quantities, and if the refinery could be reopened and be profitable without being a burden to taxpayers, I wish for that. And, I also wish for the 10% pay hike to be paid as promised to the Public service workers. I hope that more than prayers are done to meet that delivery.

I sincerely wish this government well, in the interest of Trinidad and Tobago. I will never sit any wish for failure, because their failure is everybody's failure. And, when racist rants are uttered, remember that if the people of Lavantille, Betham, Sea lots etc don't cut the grass, others must do it. So, maybe, the work of cleaning should be abandoned, because based on the remark, it should not be good for any human being to do. Let grass grow, and let drains clog. And, as I said before, "wait Dorothy wait."
