I honestly do not understand the disdain for the man.
When Samuels ran out BCL before my very eyes…I knew that some would take years to forgive that.
Shiv doing the same to many others became comical however… see no consistency.

He gets no credit for that…

had the best t20 players all with championship experience. as i told you before, my grandmother who was cremated the Wednesday before the final could have captained that team. they were great t20 players before sammy

Sammy was always a marginal player with the abysmal career averages to prove it. The teams he led to 2 T20 World Cups was so loaded with talent that it could afford to play 10 versus 11, with Sammy at the helm to only spin the toss and clap!
He was shoe-horned into the team, that he could not otherwise make on merit, while more deserving players were left out to accommodate yes-man Sammy who willing carried out CWI vindictive agenda. Now history has repeated itself with him being given the coaching mantle, for which he was unqualified, while others with better credentials. were overlooked
But I digress. I will give him some credit because The Golden Child did,however, earn my grudging respect when he called out the arrogant Dave Cameron. I only wish he had also had the balls and had found his voice when the equally arrogant Ernest Hillaire was running roughshod over West Indies cricket.
By the way, lest we forget, that same Dave Cameron was also in the vicinity - and the common denominator-when West Indies won those World Cup titles being credited to Sammy but also the Women's World Cup title as well as the U19 World Cup title
