Does it mean that all the other countries in the region had succumbed to USA pressure, and dropped the Cuban medical personnel
program? I doubt that. Is it a reaction to the very successful AfriCaribbean Trade and Investment Forum (ACTIF2025) that was just held in Grenada? Most likely, it is, as that represented a major shift in global relations, with African and Caribbean nations agreeing to direct trade, investments, cultural and other ties, even bypassing US banks. ACTIF2025 laid the foundation for independence from total reliance on the USA and the west. They were looking, and they have decided to use the big stick approach. They would not stop at Grenada. Others would be targeted too, as they endeavour to break up that alliance. What is important now is how the region and Africa respond to this round of divide and rule, and bullying.
