Trinbago Knight Riders have won the toss and have opted to field

Imad Wasim:
It doesn't matter. Runs on the board in a big game matters. Just one change. Ghazanfar has had to go for national duty. Confidence is all about how you are playing at the current moment.

Nic Pooran: We are gonna bowl first. Here at Antigua, you want to bat second. We already spoke about the different conditions and the wind factor here in Caribbean. Russell would be back soon. We have two changes. We as TKR representative Trinidad. Seales has been brilliant in the last few days

Ian Bishop at the Pitch report:
The weather has been brilliant. The first game of this leg was played here. The wind is coming from the traditional direction. From the east. It is well grassed. It is tufty. You can let it slide over the grass with a cross seam position. 8-10 metres is perhaps the good stock length. I expect more runs from the previous game here.

Ok Narps ....

Pouty say he ready...lol

More news from the toss. Pooran says teams want to chase at this venue, which was a major factor in his decision. Adds that they are looking after Andre Russell and that he will be back soon. He mentions a few other changes, with Daren Bravo among those coming in. When asked about Seales, formerly of TKR, Pooran wishes him luck but hopes he has an off-night tonight.

Pitch Report: Slightly skewed square dimensions - 67m to one side, 61m to the other. This is the pitch that was used for the first game in this CPL leg. Bowling cross-seam could be the way to go, and that 8-10m length could work if the new ball is not moving around, says Ian Bishop. He adds that he expects more runs today than in the earlier game.

6:55pm These sides met twice last season, and the Falcons emerged victorious on both occasions. Can they keep that streak going tonight, or will the Knight Riders chasten them for the first-time ever in the CPL?

Imad says they played really well against this opposition last season, but confidence is about how you approach things in the present circumstances. Adds that TKR are a good side, but that the Falcons are a good side too.

6:58pm We are almost in readiness. The Knight Riders break from their huddle and take up their respective fielding positions. The Falcons have not clicked collectively as a batting unit, but they have the perfect opportunity to do so tonight. Andrew and Cornwall to open for them.

oh dear! There is no fielder there, however. This is speared down leg. Cornwall misses his swing and Pooran cannot get around to it either!

Hosein to Cornwall, FOUR runs
arm-ball straying into the pads, and Cornwall has a boundary off the bat too now! He uses his wrists, uses the pace on offer and glances it to short fine leg's left!

holes out to long off, and Hosein has Cornwall for the fourth time in the CPL!Given a bit of air on a full length just outside off, and Cornwall cannot resist the temptation to have a pop at it. Seems to check his stroke, meaning that even though he times it well, he cannot quite clear Munro on the fence. Simple enough catch, and Hosein has his man yet again!

stumps light up, and Edward is over the moon!Fuller on middle and off, and this seems to shape back in ever so slightly. Gore clears his front leg and aims for the ocean. Makes no contact whatsoever and sees a lot of bright lights around him immediately in the aftermath. Edward liked that. Not sure Gore will share the same sentiment!

Edwards to Andrew, OUT
oh wow, how has Edward managed that?!This is a brutish delivery, pitching on middle and off, and then kicking up at the batter. Andrew tries to get out of the way but soon realizes that is not possible. In the end, he tries to glide it past short third, but all he does is offer Tariq some catching practice in the ring. A snorter out of nowhere, and Edward has two!

Time for Cornwall to call it a day. He still bowls well but he can hardly move. He is a definite liability and places undue pressure on the other batter.

Usman Tariq to Jacobs, no run
done all ends up, and Pooran whips off the bails too! We go upstairs to check the stumping! Floated up beautifully on a full length just outside off. Jacobs looks to go inside-out, or perhaps over long off, but has no clue this is the one spinning in. He misses the ball by a fair distance, but manages to drag his back foot back into his crease. Jacobs, it must be added, was happy to walk off, thinking he had not regained his ground quickly enough, but replays showed otherwise. Wow!

9.4
trapped in front, and this time, Jacobs might have to walk! Flighted up full again, pitching just outside off and ripping back in. Jacobs' bat is in a different post code, largely because he fails to read it, and he gets pinned on the front pad. Tariq goes up in appeal, and the umpire has no hesitation in raising his finger either. Jacobs does review, but this could be more in hope. Jacobs does review, but this could be more in hope. No bat involved. Pinged on the knee roll of the front pad, and Ball Tracking has the ball crashing into middle and off. Tariq has his first, and Jacobs' trials and tribulations against spin have come to an end!
