Look, Pooran got anointed WI captain and based on the results of that I can’t see why Polly and Bravo thought he’d be a good shout for this, nor why if they wanted a puppet that they’re not more in the driver’s seat.

J Ho looks better at this stage of his career in the captaincy role, Pooran is still a work in progress. he has a lot of experienced players on his team who know what to do

if JaHo looks better as a captain than anybody, that says a lot about the second person as JaHo was close to being the worst captain I have ever seen of any team in any sport anywhere. All he was good to do was to trot out the usual platitudes in a news conference after yet another cutarse.

Yeah. Holder was awful. And whether because of management or himself, he had nobody to guide him so he kept on making juvenile errors even late into his captaincy. Remember in 2017, he decide to bat on the slope that is Lords, with broad and Anderson in the opposition, with the series tied 1-1, in heavily overcast conditions. Then in the World Cup, oshane, Dre rus and soldier had Australia 80-5 and he put on RTN, himself and then Ashley nurse and they went from 80-5 to 280+

I am talking about the present, he is better now than the 24-year-old captain with very little international experience that he was.

and his sides still getting beat to skin........doh mistake very good J Holder individual performances with good captaincy. allyuh know ive said on this site that pooran and holder are similarly ill suited for the tactical responsibilities of captaincy......pooran just very fortunate to have two of the best tacticians of recent times in his corner. otherwise tkr would have been getting the same canings that SKN Patriots getting

I seriously doubt any batsman in that side who knows anything about cricket and especially about batting at Lords would agree to face Anderson and broad in overcast conditions on that ground. In overcast conditions anyways especially when this was a team two tests removed from a 3 day humiliation in that series day night test. No sane player would agree to to batting at lords in overcast conditions especially when you have swing bowlers in your lineup. Dat decision was as dotish as Allan Border deciding to bat first at the WACA against Ambrose and Bishop….with similar results
