Someone please tell me when Hety has batted better than last night?

Not in a while

Seriously? A Lil 50?

Not even his CPL ton or one of his 5 ODI tons?

Didn't he recently score three unbeaten 50+ scores in the MLC? Singlehandedly winning those three matches for his team? Averaged over 68 in the tournament with a s/r of 200+... highest score of 94* ?

How about all the top innings that he played in last year CPL? 400+ runs.. think he ever had one inning where he hit 10 sixes and no fours.. those aren't better?

Is it just me…seems like he lost some weight…OZEMPIC or diet and exercise?? Probably following Serena plan….lol

Hetmyer delivers so inconsistently that when he does most fans are impressed how talented he looked.

And when asked about his success....he credit it to prayers to god....prayers before each match with his wife...

True.. the wife keeps reminding him to pray in every post on his Instagram.

His offside game is returning... in the last 12 months or so he is starting to hit more offside shots, the runs returning too.

Hety was very good all around the wicket in his younger days... well up to the finisher role in IPL.

Hetymeyer needs to be more consistent for WI before I start to heap his praises.

If he continues to do well, he may possibly have the honor of playing for TKR in 10 years.

Let’s see.

It is difficult to ascertain whether this was his best T 20 innings but I can say that it was one of his best for the following reasons.
1. I am unaware if he has any half-century with a faster scoring rate than the 250 he scored at here
2.He only had 3 dot balls in his unbeaten 26 ball innings.
3.He had a measured 5 fours and 5 sixes including many genuine cricket shots

I feel there’s a second act in Hettie’s career. He’s making himself available for the senior team. I hope Sammy is accommodating enough for the second.
Don’t throw him away.

The problem is that they keep calling back Hetty on my to drop him after two matches. When last have you seen him given an entire series to play and succeed. It has to be hard on a player knowing unless you perform each time you will be dropped while some players are given a long run. Hetty is one of our best. We have grown impatient and treat him with the same inpatience.

IN ALL Honesty...

It was a sense of maturity from him last night.

His entire approach was what fans like me have been begging for for years....take your time..play the balls on merit...He can play ANY shot but always gives it away.

That he batted through and came in NOT OUT...was a marking point for me.

There was little wild swiping and more deliberate shot making.

May this long continue!
