One will be going to the Polls tomorrow and the other on Wednesday.I have never voted in either and I hope that the people of Guyana and Jamaica choose wisely. Both countries seem riddled with corruption and incompetence and I hope that the people hold their politicians accountable and elect people who will do the right thing for the country.

BEST OF LUCK GUYANA!!!

BEST OF LUCK JAMAICA!!!!!

Are they entitled to vote as per Guyana laws?

One question re the elections in Guyana. Has Venezuela made an official statement challenging any voting in the territory they lay claim to?

Why question any info from social media, it is the gospel right?

That being said the law in Guyana, always has been, is that any Commonwealth citizen living in Guyana for a year can register and vote in Gy.

Wow , so none came from the continent of Africa in buses that are non-Commonwealth citizens. No Chinese busloads?

Amazing....shock

Looks like it's will be a close one...based on the SOPs that people released so far, sanctions man eating into APNU votes in Region 10 and 4... they taking some from PPP in Region 1 too.

I think the current Government will win but it will most likely be a minority Government.

Sanctions man will be the opposition leader.

HOW?
How can anyone vote for the sanctions man?
People are easily fooled.

If my instincts are correct, he’s working with the current gov. Smoke and mirrors. If not, he would be spending a lot of time with 3 humble meals a day and 24 hours security in a small space.

The data and extrapolation does not point to a close elections.

-Meeting crowds
-Many cross overs to the government side
-Government exceeding their campaign promises by far
-The reduction of race based voting, mixed relationships etc
-The networth increase of most Guyanese - see how much home ownership and vehicle has increased

Extrapolation suggests the Gov't will be returned to power with around 40 seats.

The sad part is the sanctioned party could get a few seats.

Partner if you're on social media check out Melly Mel Facebook page... as soon as a polling agent sends in a SOP she's posting it.

De man eating into APNU traditional areas... it looks like he will win Region 1 too which usually goes to the PPP.

Nothing from Region 6 as yet.. waiting to see if he made any inroads there... ah doubt it though.

I saw a few campaigns on YouTube and massive crowds were seen in red while camera angles on the green and blue were focused on the speakers. I figured the lack of crowds were embarrassing.

AI works well if you know how to use it with factual data::

[ Here is a snippet of the feedback:

"The People's Progressive Party/Civic (PPP/C) is projected to win 39 seats in Guyana's 65-seat National Assembly in the September 1, 2025, general election. This would represent a gain of six seats from the party's current 33, providing a more comfortable majority and enabling it to pass legislation without relying on opposition support or facing frequent procedural hurdles. The projection is based on a synthesis of recent polls, expert analyses, and observed trends in voter behavior, including the factors you highlighted: strong PPP/C campaign momentum (e.g., large rally crowds and visible enthusiasm), evidence of voter crossovers from traditional opposition strongholds (particularly among Afro-Guyanese communities), fulfillment of (and exceeding) 2020 manifesto promises through oil-funded investments, gradual erosion of strict race-based voting patterns, and tangible economic gains like increased household net worth via home ownership and vehicle acquisitions."

Every Guyanese know those rally crowds were staged... you should have mentioned the number of busses transporting people from all over the country just to make the crowd look impressive.

Here's the link to GECOM official website with the SOPs

So far 1985 out of 2790 SOPs uploaded.

Link

Based on what's shown so far it looks like the turnout was lower than expected in all areas.

- As usual PPP is running away with Region 6...
- Sanction man looks like he created history.. on his way to winning Region 10
- Region 4 will be interesting... a three way race between the three main parties.

As I said, it is looking like a minority Government.

How can you guys actually vote for a sanctioned individual? Shocking, and I feel bad for Norton

The PPP a week ago were talking about winning 40 seats in the election. The last 3 elections they won 32 seats in 2011 while APNU won 26 and AFC 7. In 2015 APNU/AFC won 33 and PPP won 32 and in 2020 PPP won 33
Yesterday evening Jagdeo said “ The party with the most votes wins the Presidency”
Using the brain that you were given it is obvious why he said that!!!!
It is clear that WIN has eroded the support of APNU in regions 4&10,PPP in regions 1,6&7 and AFC in 4.
I fail to see how the PPP could get an absolute majority in this election.

Based on numbers from the last elections PPP won Regions 1, 7 and 8. From the the SOP released to date its looking like WIN will take those regions.

Looks like WIN gone with Region 10 too.

The ones that look interesting so far are Regions 2 and 5... I'm surprised at the number of votes WIN is getting in those two regions.

I really don't see how they're getting the majority Govt... given the results of the previous elections and this one to date. But anything is possible, this is Guyana after all lol
