Not even the best coach in the world can fix this
If a first-class cricketer does not get proper facilities and play adequate cricket at this level, which coach in the world will get this player up to an acceptable standard to play Australia in a few weeks

Perhaps, another opportunity to leach? I cannot think of any other reason, as per the advertised requirements, he fell short and, his coaching "record" is paltry at best.
This statement leads me to believe we should then try to fix the root cause, and a paltry coach (I am being charitable to the existing "coach" here) occupying the position while we address the root cause further compounds the issues.

However, the cricket administrators have not found it necessary to fix the root cause, so don't expect any improvement soon.

How much FC cricket, practice and facilities did a youth named Marlon's get before he was flown out to Oz where he made test 50's even not-out? Is it that he ended with a 30sinting avg the point? Was that from not enough continued FC, facilities and practice? If so why was his best period right after coming back from a multiple yr ban? A deep, deep study into our cricket and it's mgt is needed...once again. Psyche...
