What Rovman has going for him is that,

he leads from the front

has a big heart

and generally has good game instincts

Sammy's reason fot replacing him goes beyond these strong qualities.

Win/loss record went south

In modern cricket successful teams have moved beyond these wonderful qualities. The game has become very scientific

Data, video graphics, player management, scientific analysis of playing conditions etc.

Yes agreed the losses were piling up under his tenure and Sammy probably felt we needed a new leadership direction, hence the change.
