Pollard to Powell, SIX runs
good length and almost hugging the wide line, sees the opportunity to feast on a six and he does, held the pose after a delectable yet powerful six over long-off

18.4

Pollard to Rutherford, SIX runs
pitched up a half-volley outside off, lousy delivery, and he pounces on it, clouts it over deep extra cover for a maximum

Pollard to Rutherford, SIX runs
pace off and fuller outside off, waits a touch and then smears it into the stands over sweeper cover, flatter this time. Scores are level. What a gem of an innings!

PLAYER OF THE MATCH
Chris Green

Chris Green | Player of the Match:
We spoke a lot pre-game about finishing on a high note, we have had some great support throughout the tournament. We made it hard for ourselves at times in the field but happy to finish on a good note at home. I came in late in the tournament, I was trying too hard to make a big impact. In the last 3-4 games, I focused on giving good performances. I have been playing in the CPL for 7-8 years. They are a great time with fantastic players, we showcased our skills and power tonight, it’s a great feeling to reward the supporters with a win tonight. The support all the way throughout has been fantastic, I love the vibe and the atmosphere in the CPL.

Chris Green, Player of the Match: I think we set a lot of pre-game goals and finishing on a really high is great. We've had fantastic support throughout the tournament. We had some really tough losses but we made it hard in the field, rewarded the fans, and rewarded the effort from the staff. I came in late to this tournament, probably trying too hard to make an impact (earlier=. But certainly in the last three or four games, I've just been enjoying myself. I just wanted to go out there, have fun and trust what I do best--it's been working for the last seven or eight years. TKR are a great team; some of the best T20 players are on their side. We showcased what we can do. It's a little bittersweet but it feels great to reward the fans. I've enjoyed the banter, the support...the whole vibe has been fantastic. I absolutely loved it and can't wait to be back

Barbados Royals win in clinical fashion and put up a concerted effort. They remain down the table but showed what they are capable of. TKR huffed and puffed their way to a modest total, thanks to Pooran and Pollard's resurrecting efforts, with Hosein finishing off with a blitz. Chris Green did everything right, bowled an exceptional spell, and deservedly received the Player of the Match award. Barbados Royals started their chase with a bang, hiccupped a little in the middle overs, but Rutherford and Powell ensured there were no twists any further and guided their team over the line with one over to spare.

We didn't bat well in the powerplay, we lost too many wickets and that set us back. But, Kudos must be given to our bowlers, they fought really well in the middle overs and gave us a chance. We played the situation and took it as deep as possible, unfortunately Polly got out at the wrong time and Dre and myself didn't capitalise on the death overs. Batting first has been a bit challenging for us but no excuses. We need to take more responsibility and dig deeper.

It's a good feeling to be honest, the crowd came out and supported us throughout. We are still searching for answers, it has been a disappointing performance, we are going to Guyana knowing that we can't reach the playoffs. It was a good performance tonight. A lot of credit has to be given to my batting coach Robert Samuels back home, he has worked hard on me. Robert has helped me overs the years to unlock new shots and also work on my mindset.
