The question is, why would Rovman call on Rutherford to bowl the last over?

Queintim Sampson -
It's an amazing feeling, the fans have backed us a lot, some pressure because they expect me to hit every ball for six, but I just needed to hold my composure. I was nervous, but I managed to control and manage my batting. This is something I always dreamt about, support from the fans has been great and I just wanted to get a good total on the board for the team. If the bowlers bowl in the right areas, it'll be an easy defence for us

Kadeem Alleyne and de Kock are at the crease.
Kadeem Alleyne is on strike.
Pretorius will open the attack

0.2
Pretorius to Kadeem Alleyne, FOUR, cracking shot, too short and too wide of off - Alleyne gets on top of the bounce and then cuts it square past point for a boundary

0.4
Pretorius to de Kock, no run, shout for LBW, but it might've pitched outside leg, nipped back in and pinned de Kock in the crease, he ended up playing all around and missed it completely

Replays on 0.4 showed that the ball pitched just in line and it was three reds - de Kock would've been OUT with a review

Pretorius to de Kock, FOUR, creamed, a floaty half-volley from Pretorius - de Kock leans into the drive and caresses it into the gap wide of extra-cover for a boundary

Shepherd to de Kock, FOUR, just over mid-on and the ball bounces away to the ropes - fuller length delivery on off and de Kock brought his bottom-hand into play on the lofted drive, gets enough to clear the infield

All beautiful ladies making up the cheer-leading squads, but none of them exhibit any rhythm.

Pretorius to de Kock, out Caught by Motie!! de Kock has holed out to deep mid-wicket and that's the end of an ordinary tournament for him - was the slow full-toss, but it dipped late onto the left-hander and de Kock couldn't quite connect the pick-up flick - dragged it backward of square on the on-side and right down the throat of Motie

de Kock c Motie b Pretorius 12(10) [4s-2]

Pretorius to Kadeem Alleyne, out Caught by Shai Hope!! A feeble top-edge, went very high and straight up, Hope runs forward, calls for the catch and takes it with his big gloves. Was banged in short as Alleyne gave the charge, he was caught in no man's land and was very late on the shot. The Royals are off to a poor start once again and have lost both their openers. Kadeem

Shamar Joseph to van der Dussen, out Bowled!! Sheer pace from Shamar and he's cleaned up van der Dussen - that's an absolute brute, very full and very fast from the pacer, van der Dussen was completely undone and played all around it, the leg-stump takes a walk and Shamar Joseph is off in celebration.

Shamar Joseph to Rutherford, FOUR, shoddy work in the deep and it results in a boundary - short and at the body, muscled away behind square on the on-side, Brooks ran to his left at deep backward square, but he then took his eyes off the ball and let the ball slip through
