Saint Lucia Kings have won the toss and have opted to field

David Wiese:
We are gonna bowl, just being a night game hopefully the conditions will be a bit better in the second half. The big learning has to be on the mark in every single game, there's no place for complacency, we have to play our best cricket to beat the opposition. Two changes for us Alzarri Joseph and Tymal Mills come into the side.

Imran Tahir:
We are not getting this for granted, we have worked hard to get to this position. Playing in front of the home crowd is a good feeling. They have been also playing good cricket but the last win against them gave us a good boost. There wasn't much dew last night and it's going to be an even contest. We have one change - Shamar is out with a bit of an injury and Hassan is back in.

Aloha and welcome to the coverage of this high-voltage, all-important Qualifier 1 between one of the most successful teams in the history of this competition--the Amazon Warriors--and another CPL heavyweight, the St Lucia Kings. Who will emerge on top? Which matchups are you looking forward to? Brace yourselves, fasten your seatbelts, and get your snacks and drinks ready, because we're in for a treat! Toss and line-ups coming up shortly

Both sides finished in the top two positions and will have two bites at the cherry. The winner will romp into the final, while the loser gets another shot in Qualifier 2 by virtue of their superior standings and overall performance in the group stage. Fair rule, isn't it? The Warriors come into this high-octane clash on the back of two straight wins, while the Kings have done even better, stringing together four consecutive victories--so don't expect them to give an inch of leeway tonight

Both sides are no strangers to big-match pressure; they know how to handle nerves and play to their maximum potential. This should be a riveting tussle, with both teams eager to get extra rest and preparation time before the final battle. Dwaine Pretorius, Quentin Sampson, and Gudakesh Motie are in stellar form for the Warriors. On the other hand, Roston Chase, Tabraiz Shamsi, and Tim Seifert are firing on all cylinders and will be looking to cash in on their rich vein of form. The surface is expected to favor the spinners, so they will have a big say in how things pan out

Pitch Report:
Talking about the dimensions, it's 64m to my left and 62m to my right and it's a 75m hit down the ground. It's the same pitch that was used in the Eliminator. The sun has been beating down since the last two days and it has dried up the surface. The cracks have opened up and the spinners will come into play. The TKR slower bowlers varied their pace nicely and also kept it wicket-to-wicket in the last game and that's the way to go here. Overall it's a good surface, reckons Samuel Badree.

Tymal Mills to McDermott, no run, good start for Tymal Mills! 137.2kph good length ball in the channel, swings in nicely, McDermott tries to hit it downtown but gets beaten on the inside edge. That wasn't far from the off-pole

Tymal Mills to McDermott, FOUR, streaky but counts! 136.2kph back of a length ball shaping across McDermott. He tries to punch it on the up but gets a thick outside edge. The fielder at short third dives to his left but is unable to stop it.

K Pierre to McDermott, 2 runs, McDermott dances down the track, gets relatively close to the pitch of it and hits it off the inner half over mid-on. Didn't get it off the middle and so the fielder chases it down and slides near the fence to save a couple of runs for his side
