More than a view umpires do not function well under lights. They do not see clear edges and miss more than a new laws.
Fielders also have problems taking catches.

Most importantly how do batsmen perform under lights...more misses, more bowled and LBWs, more edges, less 4 and 6s?
Do basmen see better than umpires on de pitch?

I find it dangerous to question the integrity of an Umpire when it comes to a LBW decision.I remember an LBW decision against Sarwan in Australia who he had a half-century under his belt.
I think an Umpire calling Curtly Ambrose in Trinidad for throwing is far more problematic than anything that transpired a couple nights ago.
