none. i told you guys CPL is going to have a serious issue after pollard, russ, and co gone. there is the real possibility of cpl becoming a retirement league in their absence....along the lines of the mls and the saudi league. somebody should have told the dunce who signed a 50 year deal. the breakout league is five or six years too late

Pollard, Russell, Gayle, Narine, Bravo, won everything, break records, hold records.

In reply to methodic Give them time Dude. Let them play some Super50 /R4D and spend some time at the crease as the talent is there. Not easy to play this fast paced cricket without some experience in R4D.

Perhaps it goes to show just how special Gayle, Pollard, Russell, Bravo, and Narine in particular are.

Talents like that don’t come along often. And not only did we not truly appreciate them, many West Indian fans, not to mention administration and media, vilified and ostracized them in the process.

To the utter detriment of WI cricket.

There is talent in the region. But if anyone expects them to go on to have in the short to medium term even 1/4 of the success and achievements those players have in the game, they’re living in fantasyland.

Good point. Just like they thought we’d keep on producing vivs and laras and chanderpauls and lloyds and hell fire pace quartets. Sad though that we are still stuck in the phase where we rely on chance and flashes in the pan instead of actually putting structures in place to consistently produce ready players.

Inclusive of one individual on this thread who would, at every opportunity, push Devon Smith as a better alternative to Gayle.
