(Breadfruit News): WI coach confirms what most of the cricketing world did not know. A sleeping giant has awoken. A relative unknown in cricketing circles, Nepal is now a blossoming cricket nation.

"Our guys practiced hard for this series and you can say we were ambushed by a talented Nepal side", said Darin Sammy. "However, it was a long flight and once we get used to the conditions, I expect to see improvement in our play".

Nepal now joins a long list of teams that can now beat WI. That list includes such heavyweights as Kenya, Ireland, Afghanistan, Holland and USA.

Nepal has upscaled their cricket preparations for the WI tour. The Nepal government offered a daily stipend to the nation's twenty two cricketers so that they could take time off from their jobs, ranging from bus drivers, fishermen and even clergy.

"We were unable to find video on these guys", explained Sammy, "but that should change as we play them. It is difficult when you don't know the opponent. I remember once we got beaten by a side from Carriacou for same reason".
