I’ve been very critical of 27 since his appointment and outlined many of what I think are his shortcomings.
So……..to be fair……….what positives has he achieved since being appointed white ball coach? Not just all format coach.
So any positives at all…..Coach of white ball & /or all format
One of the first repeated by his supporters is that he took the t20 team’s ranking from 8 to 3.
We’re currently # 6 but 8 to 3 is definitely a positive.
While we’re currently #9 in ODI rankings, CWI’s director of cricket highlighted that the ODI team has a HOME record of 10 wins and 5 losses under 27’s tenure to date. Definitely a positive.
He’s just started as test coach so we’ll treat that as “not eligible” for now.
That said, the test seam bowling has been a definite positive. Unfortunate that 2 of the seam bowling attack are unavailable for the India series.
Shai Hope’s consistency in ODI’s, despite a slight drop off recently, is also a positive.
That’s what I have.
I’m sure there’s more. Feel free to add.
