@positiveg
Mentally he'll be in a good place from now on in...A big ton will ease his mind totally. He has the ability from time.
THAT SWEEP SHOT!!!!
There's evidence of work being put in, however, Campbell needs to be more selective in essaying that shot.
Congratulations on a well-deserved century.
@JoeGrine
Interesting thing that..He is following a path of Allan Rae also another left handed opener from
Jamaica who made all his runs overseas and played only one Test in the Caribbean . Rae however never played at Sabina Park.
Campbell, congrats to him as a fellow St.Mary Parish product of Tacki HS, has joined fellow St Mary born Foster and JC Adams on the the Test role.
Of note too is that he reached his ton with a six in the fashion of Robert Samuels who did against NZ and Collie Smith who did so in his 1st Test at Edgbaston 1957 when he lifted Statham straight back to raise his ton( 161) while batting with Worrell.
Congrats to Campbell,. Never knew I would live to see another St Mary guy make a Test hundred.
Go on on from here to more.
Thanks ,Soup. I can now catch up on some sleep.😁
@JoeGrine
That's because he has all the shots. Just has to keep his head and stay in and he can make runs in any condition.
@hubert
If someone did tell me that the last two Jamaican test centuries would come from two guys, one from Linstead,Dinthill Technical and the other from Gayle, Tacky High school I'd think he got off his meds...
@JoeGrine
Seems "Reefer" training dem to reverse sweep off of their stumps. 3 did it and 2 perished.90 of Campbell's Orthodox sweeps were to balls not on stumps and then...
@jamcricket
So true. I gotta find some meds I haven't taken in a while...aint seeing right 😆
@hubert
Surely, you are doing a disservice to Dowe and Scarlett, re the St Mary thing.
@Blackbird
Having a FC average of 30.71, his test average comes as no surprise to I.
@alfa1975
How so ? I was referencing batters. Scarlett and Dowe were not. Keep up. But thanks for reminding me of the St Mary connection 😃
@Blackbird
his first test century at 33, averaging 26. Great find
Campbell, who missed two years of cricket, took advantage of a flat track, something only himself, Hope and Greaves were able to do. Perhaps you should direct you bile elsewhere. Like here -
Devon Smith 43 Tests 23.78 average.
