You claim our Regional Dungheap is no good yet you choose to use that as your only criteria for selection. Perhaps this new dispensation is looking beyond the numbers hence the reason why a player like Brandon King can get a 2 year all-format contract. Yes I agree that I too get caught up with the numbers and questioned why a player of his calibre does not have the stats, but then when I look at the quality of the pitches we saw in the Oz series I understand why.

Sometimes you have to think outside the box. Be that as it may Jangoo should have played ahead of Auguste.

So if the player can't buy runs in the dungheap tournaments you expect them to perform at the international level?

Is that dottie logics?

You keep picking on Brandon King alone when it got others that were hand picked by 27 with nothing to justify their selections and you don't have an issue with it. Yall are ah special bunch...

I guess that flew over your head. The pitches are not conducive to big runs so some of the stats maybe skewed. in addition to his he has only played 20 LIST a matches so not a large sample size. He was clearly picked on potential and his showing in the CPL where he had arguably the knock of the tournament vs your GAW.

I have called out Chase as well incase you missed it:

How much did Bangladesh score in the last ODI? That pitch wasn't good for batting?

Auguste played 26 List A matches to date with an average of 24. Jewel, Hety, Pooran etc. had list A tons to their names in less matches. To date Auguste hasn't done anything to merit selection to an ODI squad.

How foolish does someone have to be to pick a player for ODI based on T20 cricket? They picked Carty for test cricket based on ODI cricket, how is that working out? 27 don't know you need a different approach for each format?

Since you're at it.. why don't you tell us what exactly did Athanaze do to earn an ODI and test recall.

Poor bowling and Bangladesh more familiar with the conditions.

Again too small a sample size to make a proper assessment when those 26 list A matches are in 3-4 years.

Ok so stick with the Regional 4day standout performers how well has that served us for the past 20 years???

Athanaze was dropped and came back. They have invested in him just the same as they have invested in Brandon King , their stats but their potential. I don't hear you stressing on Brandon King's 27 average afer 55 ODIS, and his eligibility for a all-format contract.

The one Jamaican he is picking on. If it was not for the Jamaicans that won the WC for his Scammy grifter handpicked passenger coach VOTreason would be still talking crap about his bits and pieces players.
