If we are going by averages and no current batter has 30, then explain Brathwaithe's dropping

There are lies
damned lies
And then there are statistics
it is a FACT that Tage has a test batting average of 29 in 12 test matches and 23 test innings.
It is also a FACT that those 23 test innings include 1 innings of 207 not out against ZIMBABWE.
He also has 1 other not out.
So without that 1 not out innings against Zimbabwe, his test batting average would be 18.40.
I put it to you that a test batting average of 18.40 is a truer representation of Tagenarine Chanderpaul’s performances with the bat in test cricket.

The reality is, on the contrary, Tage is likely the worst of a pretty bad bunch

Wow.... I used to hold your posts to a higher standard... not so much after this one....

Why are we choosing to take out a player's high(est) score to make his average worse?

Why not take his his worst 5 scores, instead?

What's the rule?

Anyway, that said....... I am the biggest Shiv fan outta GT and I had hope that if Tage can follow his dad's footsteps even 50%... he'd be a half-decent batsman... but even him can't tie his dad shoe laces......

I am NOT for Tage to keep playing Tests..... the man is a failure amongst other failures as someone pointed out their average earlier..... being the "best" of the worst is nothing to shout about.

But rearranging and taking out scores to make Tage look worst is quite a nasty thing to do..... SHEESH.
