My The Harder They Come story...

While working in New York back in the mid 90s, I had a co-worker in our Chicago office with whom I couldn't get along. Even though we hadn't met face-to-face then, we were constantly at each other's throats.

One day I was told that Wendy was on the phone wanting to speak with me. I hesitantly took the phone only to find a very excited Wendy on the other end. She exclaimed, "Guess what I watched last night? The Harder They Come with Jimmy Cliff.". She then went on and on about the movie, the songs, and the portrayal of Jamaican life overall.


You guessed it, we became 'inseparable' after that.
