Brandon King is set to lead the West Indies for their three-match T20 International series against Afghanistan, scheduled for the Dubai International Stadium in the United Arab Emirates from January 19 to 22.
Resident white-ball captain Shai Hope is one of four players who will miss the trip due to their participation in South Africa’s ongoing SA20, along with Roston Chase, Akeal Hosein, and Sherfane Rutherford.
Fast-bowler Shamar Joseph and opener Evin Lewis have, however, been included in the team after recovering from injuries. Alzarri Joseph, on the other hand, has not been cleared to play.

Well this should keep the Yardies and Muddies at bay for minute. Aljo sounds serious and is a huge loss. Johnson Charles, really?

Well, an okay squad, it looks like Charles will make the WC squad, the cupboard is almost empty, it would be a good exposure for Sampson even if he does not play in a match`

Why the BL"s view on things so insular.

pretty much predictable considering a lot of the first choice players are not available but you mean you could not find anybody but johnson charles to open

@PalsofMine
Yep, I don't see Charles as being in the WC XV
However, Evin being injury prone if he gets injured in this series or the next vs SA, then we're in for some trouble
Would be nice to have him play a full season without injuries to me both himself and Keemo have been bad lucky in their career due to injury and that has not only hurt them but WI.
Once Lewis is healthy, the top three would most likely be
King
Lewis
Hope

@Joshua
Very good question unless he's penciled in as a sure pick alongside the other certainty absentees.

yes indeed. Even if his name is already on the sheet, he needs as much exposure as possible, especially since he and Hety would probably be fighting for the same spot. I like the team. I wish them well. We rallying!!!

Johnson Charles is the only active member of both World Cup.Teams, 2012, 2016, and have 2 cpl victories under his belt, and leading CPL scorer. Jono, I hope you make the World Cup team.

Charles has a good chance of making the WC squad as a back-up opener and wicket-keeper
