Doh care what anybody says
The Greatest Fast Bowler Ever
@imusic
You know what you don’t see nowadays, fast bowlers bowling from that angle run up! Maybe Windies needs a bowling coach who has that technical knowledge!🤗
@StumpCam
Champ not everything could or should be coached ... Malcom's run up was his own!
@imusic
without a doubt......imagine being in the era of gower, gavaskar, border, jimmy amarnath, gooch, crowe and viv in regional cricket and still averaging under 20..........is not like starc and bumrah and cummins dominating bad technique players........by the way, gavaskar said Jimmy Amarnath was the best player of fast bowling from the subcontinent a the time
@imusic
And to think, as a bonus, the man FC batting average was 24.83 w/7, 100's and 54, 50's..... that's like some of our specialist batsmen today..... wow
@StumpCam
What was the benefit derived from that angled approach? I can't recall seeing many fast bowlers do it, even in those days
I have to disagree with the assessment here.
SAMMY was and will continue to be the GREATEST!
Bowler, Batsman, Capt. and Coach.
In short Sammy is like Kim from North Korea.
@WI_cricfan
Fixed it for you....... 😂
I have to disagree with the assessment here.
SAMMY was and will continue to be the GREATEST!
Bawler, Batman, Claptain. and Crouch.
In short Sammy is like Kim from North Korea.
@spider
From a layman’s perspective, it facilitates delivering the ball wicket to wicket!
i certainly think he was the best
pollock ,ntini , nell ,all credit him with their development when he was coaching in south africa and they went on to be good players to bad it never rubbed off on the wi young bowers when he was coach;
@imusic
Malcolm was no doubt a great fast bowler, but my favorite is Holding 'AKA Whispering Death.'
Not only a great bowler but a great down to earth guy always smiling an taking time to sign autographs for the kids....unlike a particular arrogant ignaar compatriot of his who use to bat at the top of the order!!
@spider
At the club we have used it to correct the gathering phase of a bowler and somehow they swing it better. I don’t know why.
Macco’s was his own advantage.
@Cricket_101
Unfortunately I never saw Maco bowl live. But I did see one Curtly Ambrose. And he is by far and away my all time favourite fast bowler.
Loved his run-up to the wicket, his delivery action, his unrelenting ability to hit the perfect lines and lengths and shape the ball just enough to get edges, and even his celebrations after taking a wicket.
Really miss watching him play.
