The bowling effort wasn't clinical but very good at the top of the Nepali innings

8.5/10

12:40 pm Nepal found themselves in early trouble after being sent in to bat by the West Indies, losing three wickets in a powerplay that scored just 22 runs; the lowest of this tournament so far. The collapse continued as a fourth wicket fell immediately after the powerplay, with the West Indian pacers finding variable bounce and seam movement to rattle the top order. By the 11th over, Nepal were reeling at 46/5, yet the fans in the stands never stopped their vocal support. Airee fought a lone battle for much of the innings before being joined by Kami, who shifted the momentum by smashing three consecutive boundaries off Jason Holder in the 18th over. Airee then brought the crowd to their feet by clearing the ropes twice in the penultimate over to reach his half-century. He eventually departed in the final over for a hard-fought 58, becoming only the second Nepalese player to score a fifty in a T20 World Cup. Kami finished unbeaten on 26 from 15 balls to help set a respectable target. The West Indies bowlers were clinical, led by Holder's four-wicket haul. Matthew Forde was particularly impressive with the new ball, bowling his four overs straight through and conceding only 10 runs for his single wicket.

West Indies need 134 runs to win

...........

Matthew Forde: "When I first got to the ground, there was a bit of moisture in the outfield. I immediately told my teammates that I thought the pitch would do a bit more today because of that moisture in the ground. [Bowling four overs on the trot] Personally, the team likes me to bowl my overs up front and get them out of the way. If there is anything in the surface, you can guarantee I'll be bowling four up front. [Fan of celebratory appeal] I was a big fan of Stuart Broad and watched him a lot as a kid; that's where I got it from. It's something that just comes naturally; I've been doing it since youth cricket. [Happy with the target score?] If we turned up to the ground and were asked if we wanted to restrict Nepal to 130, we would take that any day."

@InHindsight

Against another team we would have conceded 180 with that bowling!

King off the mark first ball with a 4! Just a backfoot punch through covers.

Lovely timing and placement! A fraction short of a length ball around off, moves onto the back foot and crunches the back foot punch through the cover area
