Sammy’s thought process was Chase would strengthen the batting and contributing to the batting!
However, I think Hosein’s bowling would’ve been more of an impact!
So, I agree Hosein shouldn’t have been the sacrificial lamb, but I understand the move!

Hosein is not our number 1 ranked bowler. He is ranked 17th, while Forde is our highest ranked bowler at 7th.

Watch them come out of hiding now.They were waiting for the moment. Never mind that our top order batting under-performed and this pitch has no discernible turn. In addition Akeal Hosein got beaten up in similar conditions in South Africa where he took 3 wickets in 3 matches with 10.77 econ.
Get the bad game out of the way. It may well come down to a Q/F vs India on Sunday.

Dude quit with the nonsense this early morning. Akeal has not been number one for over 2 years. His last series vs RSA he had an econ 10.77 with 3 wkts in 3 games! Once ranked my derriere!
Let him come back in vs India in conditions that should favor his bowling.
