- Detroit Pistons, 1990 NBA title: Eight people were killed, including four children struck by a hit-and-run driver plowing into a crowd. At least 124 hospitalized, 26 of them from gunshot wounds. 141 arrested in Detroit alone. Looting spread across the city and into the suburbs

- Chicago Bulls, 1993 NBA title: Multiple people shot and killed, including a woman hit by a stray bullet while standing on her balcony. Dozens of stores looted. A pattern that repeated itself across all six Bulls championships in the ’90s.

- Vancouver Canucks, 2011 Stanley Cup Finals: After losing Game 7, fans torched 15 vehicles (including two police cars), looted over 100 businesses, and caused roughly $4 million CAD in damage. 140 people injured, 4 stabbed, 101 arrested the night of, and 887 total charges were eventually filed against 301 people.

- Denver Broncos, 1998 Super Bowl: An estimated 10,000 people rioted, looted, and overturned cars.

- Eagles NFC Championship, January 2025: Two shootings, a stabbing, a car crash into multiple pedestrians, and four assaults on police officers. An 18 year old Temple University student died after falling off a light pole. 31 citations issued.

- Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl parade, February 2024: mass shooting erupted as the rally was ending outside Union Station. One woman, local radio DJ Lisa Lopez-Galvan, was killed, and 22 others were shot, including 11 children. At least 6 people opened fire in what appeared to be a dispute that spilled into the crowd. Two adults were charged with murder.

- PSG Champions League, May 2025: After PSG won their first ever Champions League title, riots broke out across Paris and spread to other French cities. Over 500 arrested, 192+ injured, 264 vehicles burned, and two people killed.

- LA Dodgers World Series, October 2024: bus set on fire, a Nike store looted in downtown, semi truck broken into and ransacked, police used less lethal munitions on “hostile and violent crowds.” More than 70 arrests for vandalism, assaulting officers, and failure to disperse
