It seems to me they got to adjust how this VAR is used. What's the real purpose of VAR anyway, as the VAR showed the Spanish player handled the ball before the fowl was committed. You should not be able to gain an advantage of a fowl while committing an infraction. Like in cricket, you could get adjudged lbw or caught and ask for a review. But they check if the bowler has bowled a fair ball, as a no ball negate the LBW.

But France seemed disorganized from the get go. They seemed tentative missing passes/poor passing etc or maybe its the Spanish defense that put them off. They did not seem to have a systematic method of attacking the Spanish defense and once they reduced Mbappe space they had no plan B. Which seems odd cuz this is the 3rd time in a row Spain beating France in a major tournament.

Spain has the most complete and versatile team in this WC.

For the record they won the Euro Cup in 2008 and the WC in 2010. They won the Euro Cup in 2024.
