To blunt this Lankan attack

Doing his job nicely so far. For his sake and WI cricket, let's hope he makes a ton.

Unassumingly and quietly

Sun, Jul 5, '26 at 10:58 AM

With a sr of 14? How the hell can we win a match with that?

Sun, Jul 5, '26 at 11:01 AM

@InHindsight

Looks like he's scratching around, needs to start rotating the strike, the ball is 37 overs old.

Sun, Jul 5, '26 at 11:13 AM

@WalterWhite

The win has long gone dude...after conceding 549 what did you expect????

Sun, Jul 5, '26 at 11:18 AM

@InHindsight

Yeah man....you dont score by returning into the dugout

Sun, Jul 5, '26 at 11:32 AM

If these two.can take us to.200 their mission would.be accomplished

Sun, Jul 5, '26 at 11:51 AM

Now they will.understand the value of Hodges innings

Sun, Jul 5, '26 at 11:53 AM

@WalterWhite

Bros y'all need to understand context

I never said Hodge has been or is being a superstar. In any case with his modest average he has shown that he can convert.

Another critical thing in test cricket is the ability to bat time. That is certainly lost on you dudes.

And I was referring to the now and present

@InHindsight

Shutting up shop too early can neither save or win a game. What is needed it normal cricket. Put away the bad ball when it comes. What will most likely happen is one good ball will get him out then we will be nowhere.

Sun, Jul 5, '26 at 12:59 PM

@WalterWhite

Wi normal is defeat defeat.defeat

They need to.bat around Hodge

Sun, Jul 5, '26 at 1:00 PM

@InHindsight

Might as well have selected Tage if that's the objective

Sun, Jul 5, '26 at 1:00 PM

@WalterWhite

Bro some will try justify anything.

That's just not cricket. Never knewI'd live to be ok with not watching WI cricket. Cyan string two good matches together

Sun, Jul 5, '26 at 1:01 PM

@InHindsight

He has been overly cautious. I understand the strategy of batting for time but I think with 2 days and 2 sessions to go, we need to do more than just bat for time. We need to score runs to get past that follow- on target of 399.

Sun, Jul 5, '26 at 1:01 PM

Bat in partnership

Sun, Jul 5, '26 at 1:03 PM

You dont score running by being in the dugout
