A set of unprofessionals from board to playing field. At the worst of times including mental health or dispute issues other boards handle this stuff differently. Wanna bet there's no carved in stone media policy/guidelines to deal with such issues in CWI?
@Larr Pullo
I see nothing wrong with my fastbowler being 'grumpy"! If a white man had done this eg.Allan Donald aka white lightning, the press would be " oh what a fearsome fella". Now is a black man he is "grumpy" and "angry". Of course some of us lap it up.
@Fivestar
These guys are putting out the career stats but last year vs Oz he had a top series and then got injured:
https://www.howstat.com/Cricket/Statistics/Players/PlayerYears.asp?PlayerID=4575#bowl
My real question is how a player who all his career has made himself available for all formats to WI cricket suddenly become selective in which series he plays?
I too have been frustrated with his red ball compared to his white ball progress but was looking forward to him this year building on that Oz tour.
“It seems that only some players can decline a selection. If a person like AJ, who has faithfully represented this team, cannot serve at this time, it is a problem for some of you. It is time for you to show some intelligence and appreciate the contributions he has made. By the way, some of you now get your wish — no AJ in WI team — yet you’re disappointed.”
