@LBW375

in all probability yes....but King esp might be drinking in the last chance saloon where test cricket is concerned!

Let me re state

Bing cannot bat and Chandercrawl cannot score

so between the two of them WI openers poor

@sudden

....but Tangerine was top score (well almost 😀) in the 2nd inns with a remarkable (by his standards) s/r of 34+ !!😎

Yall studying about Tage and King.. what about the specialist VC?

Whats his role? Should he play?

Should they consider bringing in another pacer or maybe give Bishop a chance?

@anthonyp

The vc hardly plays so it makes no difference either way

the role of vc is anachronistic nowadays if it wasn’t always overblown

anyone the coach or team chooses can perform the function of cappo when needed

@TanteMerle

of all the posts on this theme, this is the only one I can agree with. Batting with Tage must be the same as batting with Cornwall in CPL. If you cannot adjust to your partner, you are toast. King is clearly more comfortable batting with Campbell and they have together been a decent combination. If Campbell is fit again and must play, Tage must sit, despite his heroics. He just has to get runs on the board. It is as much pressure coming in after 2 hours with 40 runs on the board as coming in after half an hour with the score at 40 for 1. As for wearing down the bowlers and taking the shine off, if bowlers know he is not going to hit the ball they do not need to make much of an effort, or if the ball is not being hit, the shine does not come off that quickly. That theory of wearing the bowlers or getting the shine off the ball should be re-examined. The ball is in Tage's court. He just has to play balls on the merit rather than just try to survive for as long as possible

@CCW

tage is talentless. he cannot bat at this level

Those saying King is getting out....due to frustration...Tage slow batting...Just clarify..King failure in ODI and T-20.....He has been dropped in both formats...

King needs a good batting coach [most West Indies batters need]Toby, Hooper.....

As for Tage... it's hate...rather than stats or logic....

Those hated Shiv

Hates Tage, his son.... period.....

Agree that we need to bring in Josh, Hope was clearly mentally exhausted in the second innings, would never have played that shot in a normal course if events.
