But yeah…let Shai anchor from inception in truth.
Could it be the extra rest as Keeper factoring in as a consideration?
Probably not…we tend to lose a wicket early most innings.

Weird that you mention Gayle based on runs and centuries.
What about averages, opposing bowlers etc.
Top Five.
- Sir. Viv
- Hope
- Lara
- Greenidge
- Haynes
It is hard to place Gayle in the Top 5.
I believe that Gayle is an ODI Great,
but don't think about placing him, in the top 5.
It is difficult to compare eras: however, rule changes favoured batsmen.
Opening sport provided many opportunities (all 5 were in top order).
One may argue this till the cow comes home.
There is no clear answer.
