WI really desperate for heroes that they heaping so much recognition on arguably their losingest captain...smile

Now I can understand naming the cancer institute after him, because he is a cancer, and I hope his doctorate is in surgery for all the backstabbing he has engaged in, but what has he really done to promote or better the lives of the people of the West Indies?

I would prefer to see you, Chrissy, get recognition before Lara.

When ah die, I don't want to come back in the West Indies-too many haters and crabs abound, and in all the wrong places too -

You do know that the following cricketers have all received honory doctorates. Of course, it may be an English University thing -maybe a different view of societal achievements - What do you view - thieving politicians?

Shane Warne 2006 (Whey de woman) from Southhampton Solent University See http://www.cricketworld.com/england/county/hampshire/article/?aid=7541

Michael Vaughn 2005 from Sheffield Hallam University. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Vaughan

Graham Gooch from Anglia Ruskin University http://www.anglia.ac.uk/ruskin/en/home/news/archive/graduation_honoraries.html

Ian Botham (He deserves it)
