Terrible news.
This overshadows the World Cup as a whole.
He always looked as if he was risk of developing heart disease, but even that would be preferable to the possibilities of suicide or even worse.
At this point, the best bet is to wait for the coroner's verdict.
In the meantime the Guinness will taste thin in Irish fans' mouths.
The Pakistani team will likely forfeit their 2nd match in 12 months.
South Africa will be deflated ahead of their crunch group matches.
The WC will go on, but it will not seem as important as it did yesterday.

You summed it up there for me buddy. When I saw him pack up after losing the match,a pang of pity and sadness hit my heart for him....I felt some of his pain but I now know his condition couldn't take all that pain.
May his soul rest in peace.

It's absurd but it's strangely comforting watching this Pepsi ad featuring Bob:

Shocking is an understatement. I was over at the Portmore match when we heard the news that he was taken to hospital unconscious and had to leave. My phones haven't stopped ringing since.
This is too sad.
Funny how he escorted Inzy to the post match interview yesterday - they both looked 'under severe stress'. Can't believe this all now. He was less than two feet away from me.
