I wonder about the state of the Pakistani team also...Can these guys cope with this? Will they blame themselves? They must be devasted as well...It is one thing to have coach fired but this is altogehter quite another thing. An very unpleasant thing.

spare a thought for Mr. Woolmer's family and the Pakistani team....wow

My condolences to Mr Woolmer's family & friends. Deepest sympathy to the Pakistan cricket team and management, I hope that all of Inzamam-ul-Haq's men will be able to pull through what is now undoubtedly their darkest period.

Real Men came into this world and made their mark, then left the world behind to mourn, asking..."why they had to leave this way?"...And Mr. Bob Woolmer was a perfect example!

May his soul rest in peace!

With all the calling for his "head" along with the rest of the players and management upon return to Pakistan, would not have done his condition any good.

I walked by Bob Woolmer on Friday morning as he was having a lime with the Zimbabwe coach at the door to Pegasus... Sad news indeed

my condolences to the family.

I am not sure what happened here and I suppose the post mortem will say but it is generally well known that the political involvement of ex-pakistani players and even government politicians have frustrated Wolmers efforts in recent months. Did anyone here the BBC report this evening on this matter? The BBC reporter indicated that he hoped that this unfortunate situation will cause those meddling in Pakistan to engage in serious introspection.
