Well, unquestionably the fellow in question is a git, but that's part of his culture. Pakistan produces more than its share of gits, generally male.

However, the term "roughed up" implies the use of physical force. Did he actually touch you, grab you, shove you, pull you?

If not, you might want to use the term "abused", which would be more accurate.

personally, im happy that yammie was roughed up. i m happy that the guy raised his voice and stepped towards her in a "threatening" manner. yes, i think thats good, because now she knows what many people in jam feel like everyday. there are just as many "gits' in pakistan as in jamaica and the wi generally and i think she is serving a useful person by putting abuse of her human rights center stage.
