fuck the Haters...

this is about Lara my friend. Such petty fools shouldnt worry you. The joy u got from witnessing The Boss is more than any of the haters could ever make u hate them.

My hero since I was a very young boy.

I've followed his career since de afro days at Fatima. Missed classes to watch him bat.

This is a sad day for me.

I am absolutely feeling depressed having built up the hopes of more test knocks..I am flooded with memories of all the great knocks

I would've dropped the remaining 14 first.

So the test averages of our best batsmen are:

44.60
38.80
38.71

None over 50. We are really a class act.

I didnt even get to see LARA,,,that was my ONE dream..i live in Manchester. I ordered tickets for the test matches in England this summer to see my Hero for the FIRST time ever...

My one chance is gone. But...Im not bitter.

This man give me too many moments. I may never have seen him bat....but oh well...

One of the best produced by the region. Thanks for the memories.Walk good,Bri.We will miss you more than we now know. The timing is appropriate just as in your batting.

Warne and McGrath did the same thing as well...

Maybe Lara had planned to retire at the end of this WC for sometime...

He still would be an automatic selection to the WI team...but it is his choice to retire and there should be no turning back now...

The next few series going to be extremely difficult and it is unlikely WI would win a single Test with or without Lara...first a tour of England then a tour of SA and Aus touring the Windies in 2008...a really tough way to start captaincy for Sarwan..

Good Luck Lara

They are tired of being embarrassed.

Most hundreds over the past 4 years. Highest average each year over the last four years.

Still the WR for first class and test cricket. Nine double hundreds. Greatest batsman of spin. I could go on and on but ah so fugging mad.
