The West Indies Players' Association (WIPA) says the team picked for the tour to England will sign the standard match/tour contract "subject to the decision of the arbitration panel."

"Our decision above was made purely in the interest of West Indies Cricket and our players. However, we wish to reiterate that the pre-tour contractual negotiation has been unsatisfactory and must again ask that this not be repeated," WIPA said in a statement released today.

What can we do to rid ourselves of these group of incompetents known as WICB Directors? I really wish we could find a way to do this.

For one thing, no one should purchase or support anything from WICB. But given the financial windfall from the World Cup, that may not have any effect in the short term. The only thing they may suffer is embarrassment, but this cabal not moral enough to have shame.

Get a tamarind switch and whip the members of the board responsible for this gross incompetence?

Same way I feel. When the damn players gonna take a united 'hell no we won't go stance' so that WI cricket can come to a grinding halt once and for all and put us all out of our misery?

Alternatively, we shall call this story, 'No Lara, No leverage'.

All praise to WIPA.

At this point I'd be willing to forego my customary fee to mediate a settlement between both these sorry sides.

In reply to Arawak WIPA is striking arite!!!! They just not saying so but they doing it in a round-about-way. Notice that it still expects to get a decision in its favor from the arbitrator. Just think of it... they are on strike but all the formalities of a strike are struck from the exercise for the sake of expediency. So, the team going to england is definitely a scab team.
