Tom Clarke RIP ex Cawmerian
In reply to sudden
his seminal work growing up stupid under the Union Jack ought to be required reading for you and all combermerians especially the ones who it is their wont to tell all and sundry that they are devoid of hubris and pomposity ....... oh the irony
if ah laugh ah pop ....... have a lovely day
In reply to ponderiver

In reply to sudden
If I am not mistaken he was the one who popularized if not coined the name "Cawmere"
RIP.

Austin was Simon's father?
In reply to FuzzyWuzzy
i think his term was "dem Cawmere boys" when he used to write in the papers. was required reading for any Cawmerian and solidified our oneness.
but going school i hated him when he was the chairman of CBC. every bloody evening i wanted to watch Fraggle Rock or the Muppet Show, he on the TV interviewing someone or talking some cerebral nonsense. man used to get me vex as shoite until i learnt he was a Cawmerian
In reply to Chrissy
dont know. this piece seems to intimate he had only a daughter

Wrong Clarke chrissy. He's not from the aristocracy.
In reply to sudden
Tom say
..everyman under my administration must wear a shirtjac
In reply to sudden
The Tom Clarke and Nigel Barrow days at CBC were very "interesting" times.
(pssst: It is Fraggle Rock not Frazzle. "The trash heap has spoken")
In reply to pelon
thanks. corrected. Man, you remember dem days. all you could see on the TV is Tom Clarke in a shirt jack talking poppycock and i cant see Statler and Waldorf
is Frof Barrow still alive. man could not win an election to save his life. was Tom Adams's right hand man tho. those were the bad ole days
In reply to sudden
Very much so. Spending his time dotting on grands. He was Toms right hand for sure. Would watch poker sessions with him, Tom (Adams) and "others" (including a the occasional D) on ah friday night in the late 70's (Upton)
In reply to pelon
what about at Gadsbros on Bay Street and the beach house down Brandons
In reply to sudden
Yuh jogging memories! Gadsbros was wanna-BEE socialites. East Coast house that burnt down in 80's too....
All the classic moments took place in homes though. Oh the stories!
In reply to pelon

In reply to sudden

In reply to pelon

The funeral covered.
In reply to sudden
Fraggle Rock?
You are not as old as I thought.
The stories of your divorces have been greatly exaggerated.
In reply to sudden
'
please do not mess with my hero Dr Waldo Waldron Ramsay famous for saying it 'boogle the mind'' he was a cawmerian
In reply to FuzzyWuzzy
Waldo was a Cawmerian from our neck of the woods , my dad and mum friend and Tom taught English at CP before my time
In reply to ProWI
have u seen Waldo tribute to Tom, thank for your postings
In reply to tc1
from the little of know of him he behaves like an ass. as such he may be a Cawmerian. as he does not care about how he is viewed but i hope he isnt because i have met him at certain functions and at first sight was displeased. he is short and shirty like a certain poster here.
i will have to enquire about his Cawmerianism but from the tribute i thought he was and it sounded as though he is.

Fraggle Rock wasnt recent, mate. but yes i have been divorced thrice. the first marriage lasted a while and produced 2 girls. the second and third were short lived and thankfully produced no kids. i am single at the moment and looking. no more marriages tho.

frustrating more than interesting.
In reply to sudden
did u get "much Pu$$y' or u had to paid up front for it
In reply to sudden
What's frustrating for you is interesting and perhaps even a bit glamorous for those of us on the outside looking in. That's why soap operas are so popular.
Mind you most of us would choose pondie's boring one pussy life for ourselves though while living vicariously through you.
In reply to JohnDoe
i wont have you bashing my good mate Pondscum. he might be a Jherri curl one pussist but he is my jherri curl one pussist mate
In reply to tc1
ask my good friends Powen and Fuzzy. they have been divorced two.
BTW this is about Tom Clarke not the 3 wives of Michael Sudden
In reply to sudden
We all know that Powen got 'much Pu$$y,' and jheeri got one piece. Fuzzy keep his bizness private.
In reply to tc1
Nowadays getting a divorce is like going on vacation. I would prefer at least one of mine to have lasted but that is life and it goes on. When it come to marrying thrice is enough for me. I have come to the conclusion that there is no woman good enough to enjoy my company.
