...Either you wish to make yourself available to play for the West Indies, in which case you must accept that NOCs will be granted to you on the same conditional terms as other international players, or you do not, in which case you can have your unconditional NOC. All that is required from you is a clear statement, one way or the other...

January 18, 2012 email to the WICB:
I refer to my email below for which I am yet to get a response from the WICB despite the urgency of the request.
As indicated, should the WICB continue their refusal of an unconditional NOC, I would suffer significant financial loss and damage to my professional reputation among other things.
I once again repeat my request that I be issued immediately with an unconditional NOC for both the Bangladesh and South Africa T20 tournament for which I have entered into an agreement with and require an unconditional NOC to participate and so that logistical arrangements can be made for my travel.
Please respond to my request no later than Monday 16th January 2012 at 1pm today failing which I would have no choice but to seek immediate court intervention. Please note that this will be my last correspondence in this regard.

I concur. This is relevant now as it were relevant then.
The WICB or the player should clear the air and arrest all speculation on this matter.

The WICB left me out in 2012 and there was loud strident noise...why no noise this time as the WICB again left me out in 2017?...not even a whimper.
Did I really want to play IPL in 2012?

Gayle abandoned the Yardie based team for the dot based team (supposedly to be close to his Baby Blush). It's only fitting that he be treated like a dottie. Let them take up his cause.
