Gary Sobers batted at #9 in his first Test Match, his batting talent was 'undiscovered' as is Sunil Narine.....and may I venture to add one more current player who is equally as talented.... Moeen Ali.

Narine WAS once the #1 rated T20 bowler.
He is doing just as good with the bat these days. He was not given a chance up the order, how do you know he wouldn't have been just as good?
