Where are the ODI players?

WICB Under Scrutiny Officials from the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) are scrambling to find a full team to play a one-day warm up game against England Lions at Worcester on Thursday June 21.

That's because the three players picked to join the side in England -- Lendl Simmons, Dwayne Smith and Austin Richards -- are still in the Caribbean waiting for travel arrangements to be finalised.

The WICB has asked the four players dropped for the ODI and 20/20 games -- Daren Ganga, Corey Collymore, Jerome Taylor and Sylvester Joseph -- to remain in England to play that warm-up game but there are problems with that because those players have already made alternative arrangements.

It is not yet clear why the three players in the Caribbean are still at home.

A source close to the WICB said fringe players currently playing league cricket in England will be approached to ensure there is a full squad available for the Worcester warm-up game.
