Jaguars aiming to dent Bajan Pride

Defending champions and tournament leaders Guyana Jaguars will be aiming to dent the Barbados Pride when the teams meet from today at 09:30 hrs at the Providence Stadium in the third round of the WICB PLC four-day franchise cricket tournament and the Jaguars will want extend their unbeaten run in this tournament to 10 matches
The Bajan Franchise are without seven of their players who were selected for the Australia tour which starts with the first Test on December 10. Kraigg & Carlos Braithwaite, Shane Dowrich, Shai Hope, Jason Holder, Kemar Roach and Jamal Warrican are all missing leaving the visitors a depleted unit.
Guyana will be without Rajendra Chandrika, who scored his maiden ton in the first round and Devendra Bishoo due to the Australia tour and will fancy their chances of beating the Bajans in Guyana for the first time on home soil since they won by nine wickets at Bourda in 1984 when Andy Jackman made 100.
Guyana and Barbados played the very first First-Class game against each at the Garrison Savannah in Barbados in 1865. In 84 encounters since the Shell Shield began in 1966, Barbados have won 34 times and Guyana 14.
