Will Tony Howard be held accountable for this fiasco?

WICB Under Scrutiny EDITOR'S NOTE:  Trust the ever-bungling West Indies Cricket Board to swiftly reduce to naught whatever enjoyment and high West Indies fans and players were enjoying as a result of the sensational blowout at Sabina Park. The players have done their part so far but who will be the ones held accountable for this fiasco? Will anyone be held accountable or will Chief Cricket Operations Officer Tony Howard get off without even a slap on the wrist?

I had chatted with someone several years ago who told me that Howard, then the manager of the Barbados team, boasted to anyone who would listen that he had told officials in Jamaica in 1998 that the pitch was not ready and that the match would have been abandoned. So Tony, what say you now?

This is directly your responsibility. You are the operations man on the ground and you have presided over a disgrace without even sounding an alarm before the first ball. And you cannot pass the buck to the local association on this occasion as you are located in Antigua. And where is the loose-tongued WICB CEO? What does he have to say now? He too should be removed without hesitation over this travesty which has brought shame to the shores of the Caribbean.

These incompetent square pegs need to be removed forthwith!
