CEO of the Leeward Islands Cricket Association (LICA) Derrick Nicholas said chief amongst the discussions during the board’s meeting slated for Saturday, will be the methods employed by both the head coach and chief selector during the WICB’s Professional Cricket League (PCL) draft held in October of last year.

According to Nicholas, both the coach (Ridley Jacobs) and chief selector (Lawrence Carty) failed to carry out specific instructions on which players they should have selected in the draft.

“A player (Ramnaresh Sarwan) was even mentioned by name that we would have liked to acquire his services and we had from opening batsman, top order coming all the way down to bowling in terms of spin bowler, left-arm seamer. We even went as far as saying options one two and three in the event that when your time comes and option one was no longer available …” he said.

The CEO went on to hint that action could be taken against some during the anticipated Board meeting to be held in St Kitts.
