Toil and trouble for Red Force

A day of toil in the field at Sabina Park in Kingston ended in further disappointment for the Trinidad and Tobago Red Force yesterday in the DigicelRegional Four-Day fourth-round match.

Replying to the Jamaica Scorpions' first innings effort of 314, the Red Force openers Kyle Hope and Isaiah Rajah seemed to the taking their side safely to the close before two wickets fell in two balls in the last over of the day to leave the Red Force struggling on 35 for two.

Rajah (nine, two fours) gave a catch to wicketkeeper Devon Thomas off the bowling of leg-spinner Damion Jacobs, first ball of the last over, and nightwatchman Marlon Richards followed immediately when he was adjudged lbw.

Those two body blows put an end to the positive response Rajah and opening partner Kyle Hope had made. They had put together 35 in 23 minutes, including a six from Hope and Rajah's two boundaries.
